  • IMAGE, Ireland’s leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle magazine
  • IMAGE Interiors & Living, Ireland’s best-read and best-selling Interiors Magazine
  • Cara, the in-flight magazine from Aer Lingus

In addition to print, IMAGE Publications re-launched its website, IMAGE.ie, towards the end of 2017, to become a daily news site, with its own creative team and was awarded website of the year 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Role:  PR & Events Intern

This role offers the successful candidate an excellent broad introduction to the magazine/publishing industry and will suit any individual wishing to persue a career in event management and/or PR & marketing communications but not yet sure of their preferred area of specialisation.

The intern will support the event management team in a wide range of projects and events, but will also be given small areas of responsibility in a field of their interest and mentored in managing this along the way. The intern will learn how to project manage an event from start to finish, while simultaneously assisting with the promotion of the event.

On completion, the intern will have gained insight into the inner workings of the department while attending both in-house and external meeting, and will have attained valuable skills in project management, co-ordinating both small and large scale events and managing social media channels. Also on completion of the internship, the succesful candidate will have upskilled in the areas of industry knowledge, online promotion of events, event mangement and business-to-business relations.

Personal specifications

The suitable candidate should have an interest in event organisation, project management, marketing communications and PR, and social media. Forthcoming candidates should be resourceful, very outgoing with strong communication skills and pay close attention to detail. Organisational skills are a must.
